Firefox has crossed the 400M downloads!

Howdy all, we got some great news on Firefox today, It has crossed the 400 Million downloads in less then 3 years, a Major milestone for a terrific web browser.


Firefox has actually been downloaded 400 million times in the three years since v 1.0 launched.
It’s been roughly doubling every year. After six months they had 50 million downloads. 100 million after a year, and 200 million after two years.
There are 120 million or so regular Firefox users.

For the folks who arn't familiar with Firefox, its an alternative graphical web browser developed by the Mozilla Corporation, and a large community of external contributors.

Firefox is a cross-platform browser, providing support for various versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. However, the source code has been unofficially ported to other operating systems, including FreeBSD, OS/2, Solaris, RISC OS, SkyOS, BeOS and more recently, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

Firefox's source code is available under the terms of the Mozilla tri-licenseMPL/GPL/LGPL) as free and open source software. The current stable release of Firefox is version 2.0.0.6, released on July 30, 2007.
