Your Take: How Successful Apple's iPhone is?

After running our poll for about 50 days, I can say that most of you think that its a going to be a smashing hit.

76.2% voted that Apple's iPhone will become an all time best seller, you are also convinced that there's going to be another Halo effect.

What is the Halo effect? Simple, Its that magical force that has made iPod users much more likely to purchase a Mac after being so satisfied with their shiny iPod.

Well I'm betting and so do 76.2% of you, that we will soon see an iPhone Halo effect, those really satisfied iPhone owners will rush out and get a Mac.

23.8% voted that unlike the iPod, the iPhone is going to be a big failure, and that Apple CEO Steve Jobs lost his magic touch.
Which I really wouldn't bet on, from what we know so far demand for the iPhone is solid and pretty strong as a new UBS research shows shows.

"Our checks and discussions with Apple and AT&T store representatives continue to indicate relatively solid demand for the iPhone despite a significant moderation in excitement and hype from the June 29th launch," analyst Ben Reitzes told clients in a research note Tuesday.

Yesterday we heard some reports about Apple taking the iPhone to Europe as soon as next month.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the financial Times said T-Mobile of Germany, Orange of France and O2 in the UK, have each in recent days signed agreements that afford them exclusive rights to market the Apple handset to customers within those respective nations.

In return, the Cupertino-based electronics maker has reportedly succeeded in committing the phone operators to fork over 10 percent of the revenues made from calls and data transfers by customers using iPhones.

"The deal gives manufacturers of handsets for the first time a direct share of the revenues
a mobile phone operator makes from calls and data transfers, marking a shift in the relationship between the parties," the
Financial Times reported.

Well I really like Apple Stock (AAPl) and I recommend it, even though its really high now, I still believe they have a long way to go up.

Thanks for taking part in my poll.
You can still vote in case you've missed it
