Well its finally here, almost here Apple's new line of Macintosh computers is due to arrive Tuesday, Apple has scheduled an event in which it plans to focus on the Mac.
As always speculations are running wild, but I can tell you that there are a few sure things we can aspect Steve to announce: A new iMac (metal brushed as its called on the web).
The new all-in-one signature desktops, expected to be available only in 20- and 24-inch configurations, have been described as both slimmer and sleeker than the 17-, 20- and 24-inch models they will replace. The streamlining, however, won't stop with the iMac enclosure. Each new model will come dressed to impress, bundling a snazzy new Apple keyboard of similarly slender proportions, people familiar with the project say.
Tapping the wizardry of industrial design chief Jonathan Ive and his team, the Cupertino-based Mac maker has reportedly crafted a super-slim external keyboard for the new Macs. It's said to draw upon the aesthetic and feel of the low-profile keyboard which was first integrated with the company's 13-inch MacBook portables in May of 2006.
Another thing we will probably get is the new iLife '08 and iWork suites, which hasn't been updated for quite a while.
The event will begin at 10:00 am PDT at the Apple Town Hall on the company's Cupertino-based campus -- the same venue used for the introduction of the Intel-based Mac mini and iPod Hi-Fi last February. Once again, seating is said to be extremely limited.
Personally I really like Steve Jobs keynotes and product introductions, he's just the master of these things and does it with such beauty and style, its just great to watch the video later on at Apple's website. So remember to keep updated on what's coming out of the Apple event.
