What do you think of Apple's iPhone Blutooth Headset?

I've just read iLounge full review of Apple's new iPhone Bluetooth Headset. First I must say that personally it looks terrific, I think its one of the coolest headsets on the market. Its amazingly small its essentially the size of the iPod's earbuds without the white cord.

Pros: A minimalist monaural Bluetooth earpiece that lets you hear and talk on cell phone voice calls or PC/Mac voice chats without any wires between your ear and the phone or computer. Designed specifically for the iPhone, benefitting from especially easy pairing with iPhone, and on-iPhone battery monitoring features. Includes travel charging cable and special charging/synchronization dock for itself and iPhone. Acceptable talk time on rechargeable battery.

Cons: Sound quality and battery life are nothing special for the relatively high price, and static-free range is only okay; small earbud without ear hook may not be stable or secure in your ear. Though it includes nice dock, lacks advanced ambient noise filtering or wall charger included in top competitors priced at similar or lower levels.

iLounge actually gave it a B rating, I agree its expensive compared to other Bluetooth headsets but what do you expect ? we always pay a premium for Apple products,

Conclusions : When Apple’s at its best, its devices and accessories offer more than just good looks at premium prices: their user experiences are so markedly better than competitors that we wouldn’t dream of using alternatives, even if they’re less expensive. Though it’s a nice-looking and somewhat more iPhone-convenient option than other Bluetooth headsets that are out there, the iPhone Bluetooth Headset doesn’t live up to the company’s highest standards: in range, battery life, and sound quality, it’s a good but not great performer.

Cast your vote in our poll: Would you actually pay $129 for Apple's Bluetooth gizmo?

Make sure to check out the full review.

I haven't gotten one but I have a feeling the iPhone is grossly overrated from the specs I've seen, BUT I'm certain the bluetooth headset will be a hit simply for the fact it is "trendy"

Personally, I am not a fan. It has nothing to do with the quality or price of the headset. It's that I can't stand walking around with one of those things in my ear. I probably wouldn't wear one if Apple paid me.

Hi, it looks quite nice, however, having in mind Apple style and creativity, it could have been better.

I am sure in the nearest future we will have a new design of it !!! :)

The Jawbone is a much more useful (and attractive) headset that offers noise cancellation. The audio quality is superb and no one has complained about any background noise. At $119, it's a better deal than what Apple is offering.
