Hello folks, Yesterday I've watched the new Die Hard 4.0 or "Live free Or Die Hard" as they previously entitled it. and I must say in one word its just extraordinary!
Its is one of the best action films I've even seen in a while with lots of style and fun,
I know I know many of you think: "come on its just another Bruce Willis action" but it is actually much more. Well for start you may wonder why the hack am I writing a movie review on a tech biz blog, those who have seen it already have the answer: Its was a big computer movie criss, we had plenty of those in the last couple of years but still I think this one is different
One might criticized th film saying Willis is just way too old for that role which he basically pioneered at the age of 33, in Die Hard which basically defined the genre.
But Willis have exceeded my exactions he's only getting better at these action flicks as time rolls on.
That postmodern "4.0" alerts us to the fact that McClane is taking on some new-style terrorists. Timothy Olyphant plays a sinister ultra-hacker who wants to bring all US computer systems to their metaphorical knees ... and then, erm, take everyone's money out of their bank account. Or something. McClane is going to stop this hi-tech bad guy with nothing but a beat-up automobile, a couple of guns and a pair of old-fashioned American cojones, which, to quote Sylvester Stallone's sentimental description of his father Frank, "damn well almost clang together when he walks".
In my opinion the movie had the exacts combination of action humor and fun for computer/gadget geeks like my self, and I honestly say some of the best action scenes I've ever seen. Willis gave a great performance with some great attributes to the original Die Hard series.(elevator shaft crawling, Yippie-Kai-Yay’ing, etc...)
BTW You bet that in this film McClane for sure is BOLD!
I encourage all computer geeks and people who love the series to check it out and go ahead and watch it its great.
Here's the trailer in case you've missed it:
